I'm trying to plan a houseboat trip for next year and wondered if anybody had some recommendations on where to look/go in the southeast (kentucky area) and any other advice. I'd like to find an area that has some sweet spots to ride. thanks

share the love. share the stoke.

in KY, i've only been to Lake Cumberland and Dale Hollowm (also in TN). i've been on houseboat trips on both and i would reccomend both.

i'm out of Grider Hill on Lake Cumberland...it's a fun place...plenty of spots to ride & real close to 76 falls, a good party spot. I'd recommend renting a boat out of the State Dock Marina and then cruising down the lake.

Commit your friends now... unless you're bankrolling the whole thing... but don't let the opportunity pass you by! Houseboat trips kick--

also, i've found houseboat companies give discounts at boat shows...especially if you book in advance.

i have been to dale hollow 3 times and it rocks. depending on how long you rent your boat for u can go all the way to the other end of the lake. wakeboarding in morning and dusk is the best but the place is so huge u can just duck in and out of cove and never see anyone.
