Very subjective, a lotta personal preference goes into this.

In general:
Wide flat boards are ideal for vert/park where you're airing off ramps & you want the board to stay on your feet.

Slim steeply concave boards are best for street since they tend to be lighter & the concave helps with flip tricks.

That being said, there are various shades of gray. I ride a 7.75" deck, which would be considered a wider board, but it has steep concave since I primarily skate street. Ride some of your friends' boards & see what you like best, make your decisions based on that.

you might want to consider getting a blank board or a shop board to start off with, they are made out of the same stuff, just without the graphics and for a fraction of the price.

I assume Fracture is a company/shop name & not the condition of the board. If so, then yes, get one. If not....don't.

there aren't really decks made for beginners or experts. but my favorite boards are enjoi probably. thats what i have now.
