Ok, I think these look really cool but I was hoping to get some instruction before I give them a shot.

So it's the HS trick where you grab indy and then just do a little backside shifty but then turn it back to land normal. How do you initiate these but still have enough control to spin yourself back to forward? Do you initiate the shifty off the wake?

Thanks in advance...

jkeubanks, dont throw it off the wake...Pop. then force yourself to spin backside... dont do it with then handle or the rope will get slack. once you've gone backside pull the handle across your body and it'll spin you back around. this is why you dont want slack in the rope...

I just started doing them this weekend. They arent hard at all. The key is to put the handle very close to your front hip or even behind your hip (like touching your butt) Then just grab the board and twist. To land, just move the handle back to normal position and youll straighten out and land with tension on the line and ride away.

Practice doing backside shifty's without the grab first, then practice getting them tweaked out, them go for the grab. They'll come pretty easy If you've got the handle position and form correct.
