If you’ve never seen wakeboarding at a cable park, here’s a brief description of how it differs from boarding behind a boat. Imagine a large suspended cable in a box (rectangle) shape. From this suspended device, there are handles that branch down at equal distances from each other. Everyone starts from the dock area, where somebody controls the release of boarders onto the course. There are two lines – dockstarts for those that are used to the course, and a place to sit if you’re less comfortable with your abilities. I never had to wait more than a few minutes to get on the course. Apparently the system can handle around 320 boarders per hour. When you wipe out, simply find the nearest pod, have a seat, catch some rays, and a boat will come and pick you up in a few minutes. As there is no wake, most of the big-air moves are performed at one of the four corners of the route. By resisting the turn, you can load up on the line and launch yourself way way up. It’s an easy concept to imagine, but much harder to perform

Personally i have never tried cable riding but i have heard good things from friends who have. Getting air is obviously alot harder and there is no wake to launch from. At cable parks there are usually a few slider and/or kickers for the riders to hit.
