New Board?

At the moment i have a Hyperlite 134 motive the 2004 model and i ride it finless, I have wake jumps down, 180s and hs 360. I have been trying backrolls (mexi's) for a while now and not landing them and its really get annoying. Although i only ride about once every 2-3 weeks do you guys think its my board thats stopping my progression or is it just me.

it's just you. the motive is shaun murray's old pro model. although you might find it easier instead of a mexiroll, to do a progressive backroll. they are much more effortless, although, confusing when you start trying them..
