I just got The Book, Higher Education, Waketrix, and Detention instructional videos.

Two weekends ago I had two friends with no previous board sport experience watch the “getting up” chapter of each video twice. They both got up and started making turns inside the wake on their very first attempt.

yeah, I taught myself how to get up, after drinking half the lake, and ripping my arms out! AFter watclhing the videos above, I have all of them... I have taught 2 friends, and my wife (the most uncoordinated person you will meet*) how to get up on like their 2nd to 4th try, no problems.

*SHE admits she is the most uncoordinated person you will meet, not my choice of words Laughing

I've never seen an instructional video or read an instructional book but managed to teach myself. Then I taught my friend who got it about as quick as I did. Then we taught both our girlfriends. Which was quite comical. One even faceplanting so hard she busted a tooth and had to get it capped. But the thing that really puzzled me was teaching my dad. He has been slalom skiing for about 35 yrs. He just couldn't get the hang of it. Then he tried starting laying way sideways almost face down and holding the rope in tight to his upper chest. Somehow it worked it was the weirdest and funniest way I've ever seen anyone get up.
