|
|
| I am still thinking and trying to decide on a new setup since i am giving up on getting a boat. I really liked the ERA Bindings i rode in may, they felt nice and tight on my feet and i loved them. I am 95% decided on them, but can't decide on whether i want a 3-D-S or Era board. Whats the difference between the 2? Any other reccomendations would be awsome. |

The era is a little looser, more snowboard feel. The 3ds is more aggressive when on edge, faster coming into the wake. _________________ Does this rag smell like chloroform?

Era is a subtle 3-stage rocker and the 3ds is a continuous rocker correct? I'm not sure what your preference on rocker types you have, if any. _________________ Keep Austin Weird |

savage3221 is right. But the 3ds is an "abrupt" continuous _________________ Does this rag smell like chloroform?

Thanks guys. Seeing as I am the begginer, but can get up jump the wake etc.. What would you reccomend? I think a faster board would be better because i am normally behind an outboard.. But i dunno..
Thanks again

personal preference, but the general thought on the boards is that the 3-stage is a little slower in the water and it gives you more of a vertical pop, and the continuous is faster in the water and a pop more outward instead of up. But just because a continuous is said to be more outward doesn't mean you can't go just as high with a cont. rocker, or vice versa. And since the 3ds is "abrubt," and the Era is "Subtle," I'd doubt that there is really a major difference. If you can, try demoing the two of them to see which you prefer more. _________________ Keep Austin Weird |

ok. I rode the 3ds earlier in the year and liked it alot. Just wondering i its worth the extra money i will have to send since it doesnt have a package with the ERA bindings.. (and it will look bad too, but oh well looks not as important as comfort and feel)
Thanks for that information though.
I don't have many boardshops around, but i will try to get alot of opinions from people who have seen me ride etc. |

| id go with the 3ds but if i were you i might wait a bit to see hyperlites 06 line of bindings. they did a complete overhaul on everything in their line. the eras look sick and so do next years 3ds's. |

What do you consider your riding style? And what exactly do you look for in a board? What is your current setup and what do you like and dislike about your current board? (Lol, lots of questions) _________________ Keep Austin Weird |

| I am pretty calm at the moment.. And want to be balanced as far as spins and inverts go. I also want to be able to land in the flats without worrying about not getting air. My current set up is a 2001 CWB Area 51, It doesn't have enough hold on edge, due to only haveing 2 fins.. Thats the mian thing i don't like. Other than that i can't think of anything i don't like, but that is a big problem, espeacially when i come down from the air and it slides right out... |
