Another dumb question

Where can i read about what makes a trick a 3, or a 5.. 7.. etc... I allways here about psople saying it, but dont fully understand it and allways felt stupid to ask. well, i've felt stupid enough this week, whats one more time Rolling Eyes

3 = 360 degree spin (1 full rotation)
5 = 540 degree spin (1.5 full rotations)
7 = 720 degree spin (2 full rotations)
9 = 900 degree spin (2.5 full rotations)
1080 degree spin (3 full rotations)
