|
|
| When looking at video's it seems as rider's stand tall at crest the board flattens to some degree. I am having trouble w2w because I think I am attempting to hold too much edge as I stand which causes me to lose my axis. When you start to extend your legs how do you hold your feet? Any help greatly appreciated. Thx Dan |

buffallodan, Holding your edge up, and through the wake is going to make you go further actually. You are having problems because you are flat at the crest of the wake booting you more rather than pushing you across. A picture atleast, but film would be better so that I, and or someone else could tell you exactly what you are doing. However, I am almost certain your knees are still bent, and your board is flat through the wake. Have you tried to shorten the rope though? _________________

Thx Blake for response, I don't think it's that I am flattening out as I am focusing on keeping my edge. When I stand up, I assume I am leaning off axis. I am waiting on some film to come back(slides) that may show what Iam doing wrong and I am looking into a digicam too b/c I know that would help alot as I try to progress. Thanks and I will keep working at holding the edge.Btw I have an outboard(widewake) and it is very difficult to make w2w so I am charging hard - I am going to shorten rope next time out with knot as I have removed all three 5' sections...sry so long, Dan
p.s. I am also having trouble with the landings perhaps b/c the ski pylon bieng lower is causing the rope to pull me off axis. Will it do that if I am getting decent air even if I hold the rope in? |

If you feel like you are being pulled forward, that can be one of two things that come to my mind off hand. First, the rope itself is not a zero stretch line. And the second is in fact you are leaning forward in the air or at the top... You are having a hard time landing because you arent landing on your edge, and continue to edge from the boat there after. You really just need to edge in hard like you are doing, stay on your edge the entire time, and just pop up... Is that rope getting pulled out of your hand? _________________
