I saw a pic of that X-10, it's dope...If you're looking for 6.5" speakers, look into MB Quartz....check em out at mako-ind.com or wakeside.com, they'll hook you right up Wink

Dude for $700 a good car audio shop could cusom fabricate tubes install a sub and amp. I dont know why you all pay such crazy prices for these speakers in a tube... The speakers in the tube are usually less than $100 speakers.
For seven hundred dollars I could make a stereo that I could hear while riding with no tower speakers!

i have seen your ride and its very nice.
with that setup you wouldn't want to go with anything cheap. i would save up a little more and get the best you can get.
you have a Cadillac boat why dress it up with Kia parts?

atx: I have Boss 60's on my X-10. Got them for a pretty good price off of M&M Watersports when they had a special going on last year.

You may look into the 50's, they are under $700. I don't know how good they sound, but if anything close to the 60's, you will be in good shape.

Here is M&M Watersports link. Check ebay also!

OK, a friend of mine just bought some kickers from liquid audio off ebay for about 200. I could hear them just fine when ridding, very clear. They are only 6.5" speakers and he has them hooked to a 60x2 amp. For about $700 you can get a great sounding system.

B T Lowe, They sound sweet. We thought about going for the IV but decide on the III. They pretty loud/clear with a good amp.

I also got the liquid audio speakers. I got two pair for about 350. I can really hear them behind the boat. Homemade but not wallet breaking. Its really all you need. Unless you want to impress people with money, what it will cost you to get anything else. Try e-bay on them. I am your teacher and I recomend them. Hire me and I will hook them up for you for 50 bucks. Here are some pics of mine.

Do you mean it looks bad. Well, the towels are there for two reasons. A, to prevent any scratching, since my tower is black, if your tower is silver, you dont need them. Also the towers on supra's are pretty thin. Their circumfrence is small, so I need a spacer. I was going to use rubber from a tire tube, but I didnt have one and got impatient. Want to hookem up right when I got them. I could probably do the intallation, but I am not a professional. It will not look crappy, but I cant make any quick discontions for the tower, though you could lay the tower down if you needed to, just not take it off the boat completely, which most people dont do. Its all a hobby for me. What can I do to save Money. Teachers have little anyway Very Happy

coachsambo,
Yeah, but you teachers have the summers off!!! Mr. Green I'm jealous!

As far as the clamps go, that's why the top tower accessory mfg's have incorporated a system that prevents scratching on powdercoated, painted and polished towers. Clamps like those will scratch a polished tower....so be careful.
