|
|
I can consistently land a wake to wake jump with a decent amount of air, but now I want to start learning grabs- REAL grabs. When I go riding with my friends they all "slap" the board and don't really "grab" it. Everytime I try a grab, I bring up knees as far as I can but still can't really "grab" the board (it's more of a finger-tip touch). Please let me know of any tricks to performing and landing a true grab! Thanks- _________________ AOliver

| just wrap your fingers around the edge of the board where you want to grab. bend at the waist AND bend your knees to get to the board. |

| do strecthing while you are at home. im -10 on the stretch test but i can still grab the board, the -10 means i am 10 cm short of touching my toes when my legs are straight |

| wow, im about 10 inches from touching my toes. being 6' 4 doens't really help though. im just not flexible but i don't really have any problems doing various grabs on the wakeboard. |

| practice proper body position on a skateboard, balance board, trampoline board, etc. dont bend over jst bring your heels to your butt and let your hand drop down (imo it looks better if you grab around your knees instead of between and makes it easier to poke.) |

| start stretching... alot! practicing your grabs while on the boat platform doesnt seem to be a bad idea either. |

| just started doing some decent grabs this weekend and stretching will certainly help...also bring the board up to you and use good techniques in your jumps to get more hang time and wrap your fingers around the edge you are grabbing. |
