Just checked and my credit union has 4.49 on a 5.5-year loan, 5.09 over that.

you can get 5 or 6 percent on a 15 year loan.

that sounds good to me. My credit union gave me a 5.5% varialbe rate on a 10 yr. They charge 7% on the fixed loan.

My credit union rate for boats is 6.6% (used over $15k for up to 10 years).
