| Tough to say just looking at the photo... But my guess would be, 1. Look at the tower or just ahead of the boat - it looks like you're looking towards the shoreline. And 2. Looks like you may have too much weight on your back foot when you're taking off.

Looks to me like thats the beginning of a stargaze - if by landing on your back you also mean turning to fakie (switch, krypt, etc) that is definitely stargazing - put more weight on your front foot and make sure you hold your edge all the way up the wake - I may be wrong, but from the picture it looks like you could use a little more pop as well, HOLD THAT EDGE
Good news is you've got the hardest part out of the way, getting the balls to try them

| That is a cool pic with a awesome background, definetly need to look at the tower. Have a friend in the boat put up a number with his hand or a girl flash you to help you focus looking that way.

| Ok i will get a girl to Flash and that should take care of it. Yeah Dude Chicago is one of the best backgrounds for wakeboarding. Totally under rated for boarding. the water is very glassy in the morning since the humidy is so high here.

That's a crazy image it looks fake. I'm not saying it is but you and the board are so clear and the background is fuzzy (I'm sure Fstop had smothing to do with that).
Are you rolling over in flight or are you putting the board down and falling over?

Rolling over in flight, it makes sense i do think i take off on my back foot too much and i am not squared up to the boat.
The photo is real. i will take a better one tomorrow if its not as hazey, thats why it looks fake.
I take it you board on the river out in Aurora???

No rivers in aurora, just puddles.
I have found that there are 2 ways to do that trick. you can 50 50 the weight on both ffet so you are putting the same pressure on both feet, and then take a hard edge so you are close to 90 deg in to the wake and then as you go up the wake keep holding the edge right at the top let your legs go loose and the wake will kick them back look right at the boat and it works every time.
the second way is to put slightly more weight on your front foot and do your run in the same way but you don't have you let your legs go limp because it will kick them back hard. Problem with the 2nd, is that you don't get as much air and it can hurt.
Oh 1 more thing keep your head exactly strait with your shoulders as if you couldn't turn your head. the slightest head rotation will lead your body that way...from the looks of the image above you rotate to the left (your body rolls right side up left side down.) if you can lock your neck from turning and just lift your head like your looking up that should fix it

When you hit the top of the wake, should you "stand tall"? Also, should you be letting your arms out right off the wake or start to let them out when you are going up the wake?

flakes,
When I do them I load the heck out of my front foot. Can you do a healside front flip? That is usually how I will cut in for a Raley. I have yet to see someone put too much weight on their front foot. The other thing I found myself doing was getting too much speed into the wake and missing the pop when I was learning them. I have seen a lot of guys doing the same thing when they are learning them.

Can you do a Raley with a stretch rope? Does it matter that much?
