I used to ride the belmont back in 2001 which is the motive now and I still say its one of the best boards I have ever ridden. Pops really well, fast and consistent. You'll love it. _________________ Does this rag smell like chloroform?

My friend has a motive I think it's an 04 that he shares with his wife. She loves the board and he hates it. It's all about personal preference. I road it once and didn't like it much. They had some deep fins on it though and I like a loose feeling board _________________ "The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed."

| I used to ride an '03 motive 144 and it was a great board to start on. When I was starting I liked the fact that it wasn't very loose and provided good tracking. Depending on how often you ride, in time, you may want to move up to a more advanced board but it's a good intermediate board. Plus it makes a good "boat board" if/when you get a more advanced board for yourself. |

I don't know how anyone can say the motive isn't an advanced board. It was murrays pro model. Granted it is easy to ride, but it still performs awesome. I landed my first ever 5 on a 140 belmont(motive).
It is about preference though. I love this board, others won't, and you may not. But to say it isn't advanced is crazy. Hell, JD Webb was riding a motive last year, sharing time with a premier. _________________ Does this rag smell like chloroform?
