it would be good to try it on a wakeskate and see if you enjoy it but you won't be able to drop the rope.

why is that? some wakeskates are just shy of 4 feet which is pretty close to the size of a small wakesurf board. i really don't know though. so please explain.

pepers215, well first off an average wakeskate (40 inches) is 3 and 1/3 feet long, a good bit shorter than 4 feet. However, the big reason is width. Wakeskates have a little convex to them but wakesurfers have a ton, also the tips and tails are usually much fuller on a surfer.

I think I have a wakeskate that is like 110cm or 120cm.
My cusin is 5' 5" and weighs 120 lb, would she be able to wakesurf on that wakeskate?

there's this guy on our lake thats a real good wakesurfer. he has this surfboard called a "surf skate" and its pretty much a wakeskate except you surf on it. it looks exactly like a wakeskate..and practically is one. he can let go of the rope riding it and almost land a 360. so i bet you could wakesurf behind a wakeskate..but i would not recomend it for beginners, only experienced wakesurfers
