Go with CWB and you won't be a "wally." _________________ I hope the weather is calm as you sail up your heavenly stream |

Smokinheels07,
It's a term I just learned. Unless you sport CWB in your BU or X-Star rack you are a "wally." In other words you're a dork on the water.
Doesn't matter how well you ride, just what equipment you have. _________________ I hope the weather is calm as you sail up your heavenly stream |

Smokinheels07,
No worries, I'm a wally to! Don't tow BU or MC and I don't rock the "cool" brands. _________________ I hope the weather is calm as you sail up your heavenly stream |

Smokinheels07, the CWB Pure bears its shape from the 2003 Absolute. This is the board that finally shifted me from LF/HL/DU to CWB.
It does flex differently than its donor board, but it rides similarly. Finless, it's loose, finned it locks in pretty good, but not so much that you can't break it free if needs be. It "pops" very well, and very consistently. Landings are well controlled.
On top of that, it won't break the bank.
lcap, its getting old man. _________________

chavez - Think I asked you some questions before about this board in another thread, but here's a few more.
Does the Pure ride like the HL Premier? I'm on an older ('02?) Premier right now and from the basic shape, looks like the two boards might be similar. Generally prefer the loose and somewhat slow boards. Also, any idea what sizes will be offered? I prefer something in the 140 range.
Thanks |

buckshot, asking if it rides like the Premier is starting to seem like the comment "it tastes like chicken".
Every board that uses a similar dual molded in setup like the original Badass design has at least some similarity in ride to the Premier. That said, this board releases better (IMO), and lands better (IMO). It also is far more loose than the Premier with no fins, and still is pretty loose with a short fin (1" or under). The "Skater" fins that come with it are 1.75" IIRC, so those would put it into a more "locked in" ride category.
For me, I would tend to prefer a 0.75" fin on this board, as I like the loose feel. _________________
