mac/pc question?

some one just told me that I could split my hard drive on my powerbook g4. This would allow me to install xp and osx and simply choose at powerup which program to run. Not virtual windows which is run through osx. This method would allow each operating system to function seperately and run efficiently. I need xp to do my cad work and was gonna buy a new laptop but if someone could explain to me how to set this up it would be awsome.

maybe when apple switches to intel processors next year, (and if someone hacks however Apple will try to prevent Winblows to run on an Apple box), but you can't do it right now.

on macrumors.com a rumor has come up that people have actualy gotten the new intel version of osx tiger onto an non apple intel platform... crazy... Obviously apple doesnt sanction this, and is still all about the hardware. They dont want to become microsoft and the softwear giant, they want to keep building amazing hardware too.
