having trouble

I traded in a bunch of old stuff i didn't need to a play it again sports store and got an instore credit of $60. Since the store was in a town we go to about 3 times a year i used a credit on a wakeboard. The wakeboard is an O'brien Sparky which is a single-tip. The bindings are on the back half of the board so it almost looks like it would be uneven, but there aren't any holes towards the front. I have tried many times to get up and I haven't succeeded. Tomorrow I was going to go to our local marine store and see if I could take a newer wakeboard and just test it out. Do you guys think that my trouble could be from the board?

I think you have a directional board, if thats true, yes it will be harder

You bought a single-tip board.... well, that was a mistake...
