We all know boat whores always compliment the owner on how much they like the wake of their boat. Doesn't matter if it's an X-star or a Seadoo.

What's the best compliment you've ever received from someone riding behind your boat?

I think the best one I've ever received was just last weekend. We had the factory ballast filled, a fat sac in the bow and 10 people in the boat. All the rider said was "holy $&^% I've never been popped that high ever, can you empty some of the ballast out". I guess it's not really a compliment where someone comes out and says "nice wake", but it means the same thing I suppose.

Then my 15 year old daughter piped up, (she just rode before him with the same setup) "don't be such a woman". Needless to say after that there was no way we were going to empty the ballast out for him.

It was just kind of funny as I've never been on a boat where someone asked, who was a good rider, to empty some of the ballast in the boat.

For someone who sells their boat after each year that must be a great one to hear!

Well my best compliment wasn't on the wake, but it was when I was surrounded by at least 30 of the best boats, X-stars, Tige, VLX, the whole kaboodle.
And as we were chatting one dude chimed in,

1st guy: "guys did yall see that red supra come in? I have never seen one like that before."

His friend: "I think that ones a 99 or something"

1st guy: "Naw that thing is badass!!" It's so clean! It looks better than my boat (Tige)"

I say: "It's actually a 90 and thanks"

The whole group called BS on me when I said that, they coulnd't believe it was 15 yrs old.

I like to keep my boat in prisine condition, and that made me feel like the work I had done was justified.

We have the only V210 in the country & SAN's are the duck nuts here, they are still pretty rare maybe a dozen or so total, but they have the rep as "the" wake maker, anyway I take a guy out who owns a SAN and he is rightly proud of his ride etc etc, says the Sanger is really nice, drives well, looks good. With our setup all our weight is automatic and hidden, you can't really tell how much ballast we carry and the boat looks like a jandle whether its full or empty, this day we had around 1800 pounds + 7 guys which is heavy for us. He gets in to ride & when the boat pulls up his jaw drops and proceeds to get spanked left & right. When he gets out says "I wasn't expecting that, the biggest wake I have ever ridden", names the boat "THE PUSHISHER". 1 year later I still hear through the grapevine of him telling people of the day and how he got spanked. Nice one.
