| I have a manual wakeplate on the back of my Cal-Air. I was wondering how I get it to move it up and down. I wanted to toy with it and see what it does to the wake. Also for a bigger more steep wake do I move it up as in away from the water? thanks.

138DNAparks, If I remember correctly the best setup I found on the Cal-Air is to adjust the wakeplate up 1/4". Take a two foot level and place it under the hull and cavitation plate. Adjust the knobs until there is a 1/4" gap between the level and the rear of the plate. Sometimes when rotating the adjuster the allen bolt in the adjuster comes loose and you have to remove the rod and tighten the bolt. Good luck

| Can anyone explain to me how to actually adjust it? I thought I knew how to do it so I went and was just twisting the bolts around and got no movement.

138DNAparks, Loosen the bottom nut. Turn the top nut clockwise to raise the plate or counter clockwise to lower the plate. After adjustment is made. Retighten the bottom nut.

| Alright thanks that really helped. Should I get a fat sac to put up in the front? how much weight do I need to compensate for the change in the wakeplate?

Thanks also. My dad has been playing around with the plate for water skiing  and at one position the wake was so nice so I need to find that position again.

E.M.D., For a Pro-V you will want the plate to be adjusted DOWN 1/4"
138DNAparks, You will not need to compensate for the plate adjustment. Place a sac up against the front of the engine cover for a bigger wake though.

| I was turning the nuts and got the plate to start moving and then the left side popped out of the top. Now it is not connected to anything in the top and won't move the plate. Did it break? Do I need to get a new rod on that side?

138DNAparks, There is an allen screw inside the tube. You may have broke it but chances are it is just loose.
