| i tried my first invert trick this weekend without really knowing what i was gonna try(which probably isnt a good idea to start with) but when i came of the wake i rolled forwards through my right shoulder(i ride goofy footed) like i was gonna do a front flip but ended up spinning more than flipping...Anyways i came down with the same foot forward when i fell but im not sure what i did...I know thats really confusing without video or anything but if anyone can make a guess as to what it is so i could try to see a video of it I'd appreciate it |

| mexican roll? it's considered to some people as a heelside frontroll, but it is actually an uglier version of a backroll. |

sounds like you did a tantrum. if indeed that is what you did, that's what i feels like when you don't square up.
on a tantrum there is a buide learning it on this site and same with a front flip. but on a frontflip, load your back foot with about 70% of your weight, and a really progressive edge.
and on a tantrum, you build up speed in the flats, then at the bottom of the wake take your back hand off, so your shoulders are parralel to the wake. Standing will get you around if you square up right, you don't need to try to backflip. |

i would say a front flip...but thats cuz i ride cable and do em off kikcer... but i stuck it my second time on boat and one my first attempt and rode it clean.. and they dont hurt to bad except for if u get thrown side ways cause u hit ur chest on the downside of the wake. but i would say try it on the tramp before u take it to the water.
And yeah Mexican rolls are easy too..landed that my first day on boat on like 4th or 5th try |

indeed if you guys are going for a back roll, you would be trying a mexican backroll and rotating on the wrong side of the handle.
you guys could keep going for a PROGRESSIVE backroll, you wouldn't be too far from that.
as for a frontflip, i don't think either of you two would be too far from that either.
and ohio wake, the way he described the trick, it sounded more like a front flip than a mexican roll. rolling your shoulder into an invert and mentioning what shoulder and stance, would generaly say a frontlflip. think about it, you can't really roll only one shoulder on a mexi roll. |
