rmk700, I installed one on my I/O and I love it. However, I got it used so the price made more sense that buying or fabricating a pylon that took up space on the interior. It is sturdy, was easy to install, easy to take down, and it made a noticeable difference in my riding. The only downside might be that the mounting brackets are pretty big, in fact, they make my boat look like it has ears when the bar isn’t attached. That being said, the larger surface area of the bracket distributes the stress so I won’t (haven’t had any yet after 3 months) have a cracks in my gel coat.
