|
|
Okay, so I finally picked up a board on e-bay, and I have no clue what to do with it. I know that sounds really stupid, but - I've always borrowed other friend's boards and never paid much attention to how they were setup...
So, now - I have a board, with a pair of fins and some screws in a baggie, and I'm not even sure which way those go or if they even need to be attached, and if so - what's the difference?
I could guess that they go on top & bottom, basically the same way as a fishes fins would point? but is that right?
Everyone feel free to spit up your coffee and start laughing now... _________________ You say psycho like it's a bad thing... |

the skinny in goes towards the middle. The taller end goes towards the tips. _________________ PS- this is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.

Oh, any washers that you have go on top of the board, between the bold head and the board. _________________ PS- this is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.

The longer bolts are for the fins. Most have a shallow end and a deep end - the deep end goes at the tip.
The shorter ones are for the bindings (OK - there's four of those and only two for the fins, so you probably already figured that out). Put the washer on the bolt, then thread the bolt through the binding and attach to the board. Make sure both the left and right binding are evenly spaced on the board (from tip to binding) and make sure both are angled the same.
Congrats on your first board. |

Swass, No, that's cool! I was going to have ask about the bindings anyway 'cause they're still on the way in the mail. Right now I've only got the board and fins, no bindings - but that'll be remedied by next week and I'll be ready to go by next weekend. _________________ You say psycho like it's a bad thing... |
