hey everyone,

so I have a 2005 sea doo wake PWC, and I've been wakeboarding now for about 4 weeks. i can clear the wake and everything, but I was wondering if any of you have suggestions for how i could get bigger air, as in height off the water. keep in mind it is a sea doo, so the wake is pretty pathetic compared to a boat. I would really appreciate any suggestions, thanks! (see video)

First off, take a longer cut getting a harder edge. Have your legs bent throughout and as u come into the trough, extend all the way through keeping your arms in.

The problem with seadoos or waverunners in general is that you can only cut and pull so hard on them without tipping them over. I did that last year, I put a pylon on mine and my dad (250lbs) was driving and I edged hard out toeside and flipped the damn thing. You are not going to get much better than what you got without a boat. I would just work on some surface tricks for now.

I have the exact same problem you do i can't get enough air off of my seadoo gts the biggest trick I can land is a 360. but as for more air i sujest you cut harder and maybe speed up a bit to try and get a better wake !

If you extend your legs as you get to the the trough of the wake you can get higher. I have been on my sea doo for a year now and i can bust a heelside mute 3 and a ts mute 3. I also got a wrapped backside 3. adn when 3 of my friends were on the damn thing i landed 2 heelside backrolls. You can do quite a bit off of a sea doo but its a bitch. If its all you got keep at it and you can get some schtuff, but if you can get a boat GET ONE. I wish I could.

if your wakeboarding behind a waverunner its a waste of time. Wakeskating is one thing, but if you wakeboard behind a wave runner, dont ask how to get more air!!!

hey guys, yeah that was over a month ago, I am now getting a lot of air, not as mouch as a boat, granted but much better than the video. today I landed my first backside w2W 180, it was cool. but yeah, I actually think the seadoo is a great thing to learn behind. still can't wait to get a boat though. I be working on my 3s next.

gkoppboarder13, your a Bubb Rubbing moron. I'm glad your post helped him so much. I don't know what he would have done without you.

Actually, you can get almost decent pop from a seadoo. I ride behing an 03 GTX DI if i'm not behind my friends boat. just keep goin w/ ur progresive edge and you'll do fine.

props for you turnocity, i started off a wave runner also, so i know what your going through. Once you get your boat youll love the sport twice as much, and numbfoot if you dont tell him how much funner wakeboarding is behind a boat, i guess i can be the one to step up to the plate.

gkoppboarder13, i just love it how you make stupid posts and try to make up for them by being all friendly afterward. Sure wakeboarding is more fun behind a boat... i'm not disagreeing with that at all, but don't say stupid stuff like wakeboarding behind a pwc is a waste of time. Like he said, it's awesome to learn behind, and aterall, it's way better than nothing. It's quite a bit more usefull to wakeboard behind a pwc than it is to read your posts. Rolling Eyes

i love how your such a bub rubbing faggot. Who comes up with this bub rubbing stuff? I didnt even try coming off as mean, i mean i know that the goal in wakeboarding is to have as much fun as possible and i know i couldnt wait to hit a bigger wake when i first started. I mean the guy wanted to know how to catch more air so i told him. thats why i said you gotta hit up a boat. i know mr bub rub really likes his sea doo, and i know thats ok, but i just wanna know who agrees with how much funner it is to get a pull from a boat.

hey, look I already know a boat would be better, but I don't have one yet, for various reasons. but just to set the record straight, I have boarded behind a boat, and yeah it's coooool, but as far as learning, the basics, i would definatly recommend a PWC, the one I have is the 2005 sea doo wake, it is actually heavier in the back, then most PWCs, so the wake is a little better, but many years ago before there where wakeboard boats, people where doing the same tricks they are doing now off small wakes, at first I thought the sea doo was a mistake, because off the small wake, but know I realize it wasnt, it's more about your technique then the size off your wake, I mean it wasnt that long ago I posted that video, and I have already gotten so much better than that, I am glad I have the sea doo to learn behind, once I get some vid of some cool tricks I'll post them for you guys, thanks for everyones help along the way though.
