want to get a universal pylon but i was looking at my boat, and towards the rear of the boat, along the center line is what looks like a drain. The floor covering it is aluminum but i was wondering if this would be suitable to mount the baseplate. I would also like to know if installing a universal pylon is difficult to do. (will i be able to just screw the components to the floor, or do i have to remove panels and reinforce the mounting points). Oh yah, the boat is aluminum not fiberglass.
