To change my v-drive fluid do i just use a pump to suck the fluid out of the dipstick hole and just put in as much as i took out (and check the level of course). that seems to make the most sense.

This is on an 03 centurion avalanche by the way.

Thanks,
Danny

Okay, before removing any oil, check the level on the dipstick. Take another metal object and put a knick in the dipstick where the oil level is within the min and max markers. There are a few reasons I won't go into for this, but you want to keep your oil level the same as it was before the swap. Pouring the oil out of the holding tank to measure after the fact is really innacurate.
I use a Mac Tools oil extractor. Just plug in the airhose from a compressor and you're set. Mac also makes a flushing system that has its own compressor. Both work fine.

Your Walter will have what will feel like 2 levels. Make sure you get the straw into the very bottom of the V-drive and pick up any metal shards or alien substances.
