Boardstop.com out of 136 team, go with 139?

I ordered the sphynx/team 136 combo from boardstop.com. just got an email saying they were out of that size but they have 139's in stock. Should i go with a 139 instead? Im 5ft 11inches 145 pounds. Or get something else in replacement of the team/or go elsewhere and buy it.

I talked to john, now im not sure lol. He said the team setup is awesome, but i think he is trying to lean me towards the hyperlite State. AHHH WHAT TO DO Question

Beware of buywakes shipping. They charged me $75 to second day a board. Refuse to answer my emails. Absolutely ridiculous. There service since taking my money has been piss poor IMO.

Downsideup, I think it's pretty rude to tell the customer to go to another site, seeing as Boardstop supports this site, and has awesome customer service. It's just not right, it's like someone going onto your website and telling everyone to check out the new release by: *Enter your market competitor here*

I wasn't going to say anything, but this has happened multiple times, and I don't think it's all that cool.

FLyGuYy03, if you're gonna grow any then I would go for the 139 Team from Boardstop, even if you are not going to grow you might look into seeing how you like riding a bigger board. If possible I would go with Boardstop, because of their customer service/ supporting wakeboarder.com.

i would stick with the 136. i wouldnt get the state if youre considering the team/sphynx because the sphynx bindings by themselves make the whole package worthwhile IMO (especially when compared to the state binding).

and its pretty lame of people to suggest using another site. its kinda like when someone asks a question about a LF board and a HL rider suggests that they just ride a hyperlite instead. kinda funny that the buywake guy tried to convince flyguyy to downgrade his setup...i guess everyone has their own agenda. i mean the board is 134 sorry, team doesnt come in 136.

DRAGON88, scott a, I agree 100%. When I read this thread this morning at work I thought about how rude it was. I tried to Rationalize it by the whole "boardstop ran out" part...but I still couldn't. I have seen this happen a number of times, If you are gonna post on the site then support the site.

FLyGuYy03, I agree w/ scott a. The sphynx are 100x better binding than the State, get the LF package.

Back on topic guys, and back to the story, ive been emailing back and forth with the guy from boardstop.com He's recommended me these and trying to work with me, being rather helpful now that he cant get the 134's.
He Says
"We can try and get
you in a board that will work for you. I have the Substance 134, Balance
135, Fish, Omega 135, Subject 137(maybe)."
What would you recommend being a little bit better then the team board? Im still going to get Sphynx bindings still.

Proablaly the Omega or the Balance there not as aggressive as the rest. About hte same as the team

Were you looking at the team because of the package, or is that the board that you want? If because of the package, what are you looking for in a board?

It was more about the package because it would be saving me quite a bit of money vs. buying just a board and then a set of sphynx, comfort is pretty important to me as for the bindings because my old hyperlite moonboots would kill my feet after about 10 minutes of riding.
In a board, i guess i dont have much of a prefrance because i've just been riding a old board for a while and never rode anything new, never rode a 3 stage, or a continuous. But i would say as for my style, smooth, and catching some big air. On my old board its just basic w2w stuff, with grabs/tweaks/ and learning spins now, pretty much a fast learner though with a snowboard and skateboard backround.

The best thing, of course, would be to try out some of the boards, either through demo or borrowing a friends. If neither is possible, then I'd suggest going to http://www.liquidforce.com and reading about the different boards. Try to figure out which one sounds like you. After that, come back here and ask specific questions about the boards. Hopefully you can figure out which one is for you. If you don't like the one you get, there is always ebay Wink

just stopped at a sporting good store in my area, they have and o'brien player 138 for $299, but i can't take it out. the board is shaped cool, how do they ride? they also have bindings, but they are split and spin bindings.

It doesn't matter at all that he mentioned buywake because boardstop didn't have it in stock. It was the board he wanted so why the hell should he get a different one just to support the shop. That makes zero sense.

Heh exactly tyler. And the best part is, i even spoke withboard stop and they just flat out told me they arent gettin that board, and all they can get me is the 139. and the "OTHER" place has been so helpful, tryin to find me something thats going to suit me well, and keep me with sphynx, and chopping money off to keep me at my "team package price"

Im eyeing a 135 balance board with sphynx bindings.
