For a bigger wake would you want more wieght in the front of the boat or the back?

Every post I've seen on this always gets the response of 60:40.

60% in the back
40% in the front

What kind of boat do you have if its and inboard then the 60/40 rule is right if you have a outboard or a i/o it is almost opposite because there is already moe weight in the back. if you put more weight in the back the wake will get more vertical if you put more in the front it will get rampier.

mines an outboard but the wake it washy? should we still all sit in the back?

its all trial and error...I have an outboard and we had to get two fat sacks. one for the back to increase the weight and one to lie in the front so the boat isnt pointing straight up from all the weight in the back. As we go...the people inside the boat move around from back to front, left to right, to create the best wake.
