The first time i went wakeboarding afterwards i could'nt move i was in that much pain in my muscles. The doctor said i had pulled muscles in my arm and that next time i should warm up. I do some small arm warm ups and a couple of leg strecthes before riding and it helps, i havn't had that problem since.
What are your views on warming up? Is it uncool? |

Yeah I had the same problem the first time i went out. Well if i were u i wouldnt really care if it was "cool" or not because later if you don't stretch and are walkin around all sore and in a lot of pain...u wont really give a crap what the other guys at the lake think/thought of u. I always just do a few quick stretches in the boat before i get in the bindings. It doesnt have to be some elaborate stretching routine, just enough to loosen up yer muscles.
The best advice would be just to get back out there and do some more boardin, your muscles will get used to it after a few a while.
Its also real important to stretch out after, wakeboarding is basically just like any other sport.
keep it real,

Well normally i stretch out my arms a little bit before riding.. like pulling my arm across my chest, hanging from the tower etc. Then i get up and move around .. do a couple wake jumps etc to get my legs warmed up. But since i have been wakeboarding like my whole life it doesn't effect me as much as a new person.
And for uncool, who cares.. it's a lot cooler to be able to ride than have to sit out with pulled muscles everywhere. |

you could always lift weights for strength training. Just make sure not to lift too close to the day u go boarding or u will be sore. I lift because i ride goofy foot but i am right foot dominant, so i lift to make up for having a weaker back foot(my left). _________________ If at first you dont succeed, maybe failure is more your style. |

| more than likely your pain is because its the first time youve did it and you use new muscles u dont normally use and once you get used to it you should be fine |

| Check out some warm ups used for running. You use more or less the same muscles and helps prevent injury. |
