even if you are a beginner/intermediate rider i would suggest that you demo some more "advanced" boards. the first board i ever rode was a premier which is an "advanced" board, yet i actually felt the most comfortable on it. DONT limit yourself to riding certain styles of boards just because of your skill level.
i would demo a bunch of different boards then when you find what you want look for it to be on sale or something. _________________ www.TheLiquidPlayground.com

It would help if you stated what style of ride you're looking for. I'd suggest you look into the Substance, Team, or Trip from Liquid Force, the Luke Wulf Pro or the Pure Ride from Doubleup, or the Billy McKee Pro or Assassin Pro from Blindside. You can always save some money if you can find a blem board, which we sometimes have available. If you want ride specifics or pricing on any of these, or have any other questions, let me know. _________________ Mike Dick

if i were you get a trip it is an awesome board for all levels of riding. even the pros ride them. you can customize the board with the fins and it is easy to ride but you still can progress _________________ pointless crew is so insane. |

just go with an advanced board, i was kinda worried about the same thing but as long as you know how do do the basics, turning leaving the wake etc, then you will really like the advanced board because it has a more free feel, check out the closeouts or blems of different places and you can get a good deal. I bought a HL premier recently and i cant wait to ride it |

When I was in your position Bogger, I bought a Trip. Probably the best thing I did. The board allowed me to progress and can be customized with fin set ups to help with varying water conditions and your style of riding. I've ridden the same trip for 3 years and just this year upgraded. They're pretty affordable and abundant. If you're really looking to save, buy a used one.
Oh yeah, I bought a 138 but also have a 133.5 and spent time on a 143, too. _________________ www.MidwestMilitia.net |

Bogger- I'd suggest the Trip 133 for your size versus the 138. I agree with what NAW said up above. We've never had a dissatisfied customer that purchased a Trip from us. It's a proven shape that works for basically all riders, from beginner to outlaw, for a decent price. _________________ Mike Dick

| If your 5'6" and 130lbs, you might want to see if you can ride the 38 and 33. The reason I say that is my fiance who's only 5'4ish and 115lbs likes the 138 over 133.5.....it's all about personal preference, but I'm sure if you call Mike over at See Dick Ride, he'll be able to explain stuff to you and find out what you need....good luck! |
