Hey guys , I was bored today and it was raining , so I built this thing in my garage. as you can see i need some floatation and a top layer. my question is , can I use a 4x8ft. dry erase board on top? they had it at home depot pretty cheap , and it looks like it will slide pretty well. peace. _________________ "I just want something more than to come home in my cool looking SUV, sit in my king sized leather recliner and watch reality television on my widescreen plasma TV...How easy it is to care for someone when you dont have anything else..." |

double up 141, my guess would be that a kicker is somewhat smaller , although not neccessarily , and has a curved transition , like a skateboard kicker. And well , a launch is bigger and straight , like the one I built. _________________ "I just want something more than to come home in my cool looking SUV, sit in my king sized leather recliner and watch reality television on my widescreen plasma TV...How easy it is to care for someone when you dont have anything else..." |

Does everyone use pressure treated wood for their sliders? That gets very very expensive. And if you do is there any place where I could pick some up for free or cheap? TY

hey guys , just a little up to date info on the launch..... Its freaking awesome , at least from what ive ridden of it. I got a 55 gallon barrel to put that in the back with the most weight and for the front I put the base of a portable basketball goal that we havent used in forever. The thing floats perfectly!! the bottom is just a few inches under , just enough to ride onto it. The angle is pretty steep , so the first ride up I slid out and landed on my head , it was pretty funny. After 2 more tries I stuck it. Works like a charm , but it'll take some getting used to.jbt200, There are already some spots where im going to have to drill the whiteboard in , we didnt put many screws in it any ways , but we rigged it so that we can lift it out of the water to the top of our houseboat and store it when we're not there so its out of the water. In all the whole getup works quite nicely!! peace.
oh ya and I left my camera at the lake house so I'll have to get the pics online later. soon though!! (Sorry so long) _________________ "I just want something more than to come home in my cool looking SUV, sit in my king sized leather recliner and watch reality television on my widescreen plasma TV...How easy it is to care for someone when you dont have anything else..." |

| a kicker is a kicker is a kicker, not a "launch". an aframe is still a slider, a flatbar is still a slider... |
