Me and my crew set out this morning in search of some dece water and finally found a cove protected from the wind. So we were riding there for about an hour and an x-star comes cruisin down the lake into our spot. When I was riding they kept towing their rider right behind me, if I fell during the times they were tailgating me, I would probably have made an unfriendly acquaintance with their hull. We were leaving after that set so we didnt bother telling them to stop but this has happened before and it really pisses me off. anyone else share this prob?

Yeah, all the time. I got pissed once and threw a finger up at a guy in a Ski Nautique. He layed on the throttle and got right up on my ass. That's when I let go of the rope, cut out and hopped up onto the shore.

Best thing to do is just let it go. Don't go following them back into the slalom course and running 10 9mph donuts around them when they get all ready to ski. Ended up coming face to face with him on the dock, and he wasn't too happy.

Just let it go. Laughing

Carry a paintball gun in the boat at all times to enact a swift and deserved revenge.

Atleast you dont have jet ski's pooping off your wake no more than 2 feet behind you or when you are edgind out they ride right beside you yelling at you to fall... Many of time have I wanted to let go of the rope and continue edgind and just hit them in the face, but with my luck, I would over shoot them and get tagged by a sea doo... However, there was a time this past weekend where I had the same thing happen, a boat pulling a tuber at 10am was following really close, too close for comfort, what I did was flag them over, and tell them I dont want to fall and get plowed by there boat. The driver was cool, and just sat out in the middle of the cove while I finished my sets... So, I would suggest just flagging them over and letting them know that what they are doing is dangerous and you, and your riders will be done with your sets soon.

If someone did that to me, I would seriously jump right on the back of their jet ski and beat the stuff out of them...those fvckers have no right to be endandering lives and just talking stuff/making your water time miserable...just so they can drive around and get their kicks being assholes and not respecting anyone else on the lake. JD, it was red. I'm actually not completely positive it was the X-Star, i didn't get all that good a look, because i know there's another boat on whatcom that's called an X-J or some bulshit because it's made to look just like the x-star heh.. anyways it had red decals. finally i see another person from bham on here Very Happy do you ride whatcom much?

ps: i checked your profile and that's not the same boat, if that's why you were asking. on second thought that might have been the boat heh, if it was on lake whatcom at strawberry point yesterday.

Happens to me all the time, I throw the bird on a regular basis. There's a million morons on my lake w/no etiquette and there are just as many "wakeboard boats" as i/o's w/tubers that have no clue.

A few years ago I had a boat run up on me close while I was riding. The people in my boat were waving them to get away but they kept on coming, I finally chucked the handle into thier winshield and we almost got into a full on brawl on the lake after a few choice words were spoken.

Ha..if you were able to hit their windshield with the handle, then, yea that sounds like they were a bit close...some people just don't get it/dont care.

bighitbiker3, well I live on Lake Whatcom, so that's my haven. I've only rode on lake whatcom since that's where me and all my friends live but it's a pretty sweet place to ride imo. It's a fairly small lake but as long as there's not a big storm system coming in, then there's a cove thats protected from the wind that has nice water. it's a pretty far drive from seattle to bellingham tho... then there's lake samish which i hear kicks ass, it's calm and WARM cuz it's so small/shallow i guess. only prob is it gets crowded there a lot. then there's bo lake which im gona try to go to, but it's owned by a camp Mad some guy built it just for wakeboarding so it's ALWAYS glass and gets wayyyyy warm for NW WA (water is prolly gross tho, i'm guessing it's like a swimming pool w/o a filter)

My personal favorit encounter occured this 4th of july. Were riding in a cove where theres some anchored boats, and were within legal distances from the anchored boats, and the shore, so were not breaking any laws, and some guys got pissed about our rollers and him and his drunk ass buddies decided to try and spray us on their jet ski to get revenge. Unfortunately, they suck at jet skiing and ended up riding over my platform. We were considering going over to there boat and starting stuff, but we had guests with us and decided it would be better to take their registration numbers and sick the coast guard on their asses

I had one of these dumbasses get right next to me and I was able to cut out 10 feet and be right next to the guy. He was very happy to see me so close. I played it cool & when I asked how he was doing he asked how I was doing. I responded with a "oh very good, but I have this one little problem, some dumb F-ING Moron is driving too close!!! He was a little taken aback and booked outta there. Bait 'em with kindness & then dump on their windshield!!

Tourists are always riding where we are on the god damned jet ski tours....It pisses me off so much because they have no clue what they're doing.... one of them almost ran right into our boat....
