Getting better at switch

well, its pouring here so i cant ride, and like most wakeboarders, my lacking switch abilities are finally catching up with me as i try to add 180s into my inverts and have trouble because i suck at riding switch. Aside from riding switch during a session which is no fun and when u cant ride much kind of wastes your session, how else could you learn to get better at riding switch? Well i always hear that skating and snowboarding switch helps. I dont snowboard i ski, and i dont have pavement near my house (dirt roads....) so i decided on an idea, and i want to know if it is a good idea or if im just an idiot. What if you put a skateboard on a treadmill, and then put a rope on a nearby wall or something and just ride around switch. Would this work or am i an idiot whose jsut bored out of his mind

you could definitely give that a try. im thinking thats the only option you have left because you cant snowboard or skate.

i doubt youll have enough room to carve enough to practice your balance for riding switch, but sounds like it could help.... if there's nothin else to do ya might as well try, heh.
one thought is those dirtboard things. i havent seen one around in a while but you can ride down mountsides and stuff with them.. theyre just a big skateboard with dirt-wheels and straps to hold your feet. kinda pricey but, it's just a thought.

You should buy one of those offroad exteme skateboards with the big wheels. They are long, I would think that would be a better option than the treadmill. Dont get me wrong its a good idea, I just think you wont have enough room to move around like when wakeboarding.

ahahahahaha i gotta try riding a skateboard like that sometime. thats a good idea but it might help if treadmills were wider

if you're feeling brave and you have gravel roads, get an old cheap wake board and shotty bindings and ride behind your truck. sounds stupid, i know but it can be done. i dont know how much itll help your wakeboarding, but you have to carve pretty hard not to hit trees when you go around a corner. and its a great thing to do on the weekends.. just make sure to wear a helmet and knee/elbow pads, cuz remember, safety first!

we have crops outside town that are always getting flooded during the spring and winter, i'm gona ride through them sometime, getting towed behind a truck. If we threw a long rope I bet we could ride way out there, they turn into lakes sometimes Shocked

maybe ill sharpen up my switch riding while i'm at it.
