Anybody do these? The other day at the lake I tried driving one, it's a little trickier to get the boat in the right position than I thought.
If anyone does these, any tips on how to get the most height off a roller? |

how do you drive thesse things and what direction do you hit them from....
It looks awesome in shafted w/ parks does the double tantrum(temper tantrum?) on the whip
Harf does a sweet whip in free 4 all
it looks like they hit the wake from the backside
this is the normal direction you would hit a wake: ---> )\
it looks like they hit it from this direction: ------->/(

Thanks, but that doesn't talk much about whips, just says what one is right at the end. I'm all clear with the actual triple up, love em, and they've helped me lose my breath many a time
I was just wondering if anybody has done many of these, and if so, what are some tips on how to get the most out of them? That's a good question orzech, I always assumed they hit it the normal way, but you may be right about the opposite direction, I'll have to do more studying |

when we do it, we just drive straighter a little longer than a normal triple up and then gas it real fast (and i mean real fast not like 25 but like 35) Then crank it tighter than normal so that the ridder gets whipped in. If i remember right thats how i learned if from the wakeboard camp. Harf may do it the other way but it seemed to work pretty good this way. I think it would be hard to drive a whip in the opposite direction. _________________ www.hyperlite.com

Yeah you gotta do your triple and then get around the corner real fast so you dont get there too late, make a tight turn and whip the poor bastard in there on their heelside. It makes it easier on them if you judge it right so at the peak of the whip(speed wise) they are right in front of the oncoming rollers. |

If you drive it right and turn it right, you will see the deep a$$ swell hanging out, it seems to sit there and hold its shape forever. For a normal 3up, just drive the boat right by it and allow your rollers to hit it to set up the 3up, the rider just has to time it like a 2up.
For the whip, drive it the same way but start your turn before you get to the swell and give it some gas, the rider needs to use that momentum to shoot out in the flats and charge it, then they are on their own. |
