| okay, i am wakeboarding behind a 1979 tri sonic, the wake is small, and i dont have a tower, i can ride switch, do ollie 180's, surface 180's. half cabs.....etc......right now im landin about 4 feet into the flats, and i can almost land a heelside backroll, how much can i progress until i will have to buy a real wakeboard boat and a tower? |

You can progress as far as you believe you can. There are plenty of people on here that landed their first inverts behind I/O's w/o towers. One of the most important things though is to make sure that you have a zero stretch line...a spectra line. If you are still using a ski rope it will mess you up, especially in progressing. To play with your wake try getting like an extra 250 - 500lbs in the front (sand, fat sacks, lead...whatever) and play with the trim. Put the triim up so it is just barely not porpusing, or until the wake looks nicer (that will help you clean up and give you a bigger wake.
good luck.
Or just get a wakeskate, and if you're thinking about a tower. www.monstertower.com |

you can go a long way. a lot of today's pros rode w/o a tower or even an inboard. just remember to work on your fundamentals, and there's no limit to what you can do. _________________ my demo reel

thanks for the advice, im using a ski rope right now, its really old though and i think it is stretched out all of the way, i am starting to notice that its pullin my upper body towards the boat when im in the air, which i guess kinda throws me into a half ass raley |
