Okay, I'm not educated about what the different specific styles of boards I need, but I know all about the rocker and the fins and the tail and all that stuff. I'll tell you everything from the shape to the length to the width.

I'm a 5' 5'' girl and I weight, uh, I think somewhere in the 150s, dunno. What I want is a long board, continuous medium rocker, wider board (maybe), wider in the middle (maybe), wider tip and tail, whatever fins is best for a biginner, PBT bottom material, and I think I want more of a squared-edge board, but sometimes people don't know what they want. What I am looking for is a board that will last me a while, something that isn't too hard as a bigginer, but something that isn't only for biginners, so when i grow in my skills, I won't be so limited with a beginner board.

Has anyone found a board or know of one that sounds good for me?

I like the LF Divas, so far at least. And the Hyperlites too, but I heard they were bad quality though...

my girlfriend just bought aHL Divine from wakeside. its a great board, you will be able to use from beginner on through intermediate. Great alaround board. Length if your 150 lb 140 to 143 should be right. dont go any more or any less. Hope this helps airboarder! gR.

Thanks, that helps a lot! Now I just need to go check it out...

I did the board finder at boardstop, and it keeps giving me LF's Angel series, so there's another option of boards.

The specific board I'm planning to get is the hl divine 134. Would that be fine?

Wait, are you sure? Because i tried looking for a board on boardstop.com, but none of them went over 138.1. Every time i try boardstop i always get LF angels, one is 130 and the other 134.

EDIT: a hyperlite motive 140 is basically the same thing, but longer. Would that be fine?

yeah that should be. i mean you dont HAVE to get a bigger one but since youve never been before it would prolly be easier to get up with the bigger board

Yeah, 144 is too big. Why don't you get that board in your avatar? Angel 134 with minx bindings. $500. OR, you'd be fine with a Diva 134/Elements for $300. That will last you for a while.

You need bindings too. The HL bindings suck. Get one of the LF setups.

Yeah, a 134 should be about right. Personally I like to ride a board thats too big for me. I'm 5'10" and about 130 and I ride a 03 player 138 and love it.

I wanted to get a board that was too big for me. Then when i use smaller boards i can heave them around in the air easier on tricks.

I'm looking at an Angel 134, but it's a bit pricey for my parents and we may have to get a used one.

dont listen to the person that said to get size 140-143. Id look for a board around 135(give or take a little). Def go with a name brand though, that way u should have no problem prgressing no matter what level of board it is. Hyperlite, Liquid Force, CWB, etc. are all good brands. Good Luck!

I would have to disagree with the majority of people on here. If your around 150, I'd have to say 135-138, considering your a beginner as well. Good luck.

yeah that was my point when i said 140-142 cuz since youve never boarded before it would be easier to get up w/ a bigger board instead of struggling w/ a smaller one.
