anyone kno some good ones in fl that you dont have to be super smart to go to? i was looking maybe clearwater area (i think thats the name of the town) or by orlando, thanks, and if any have wakeboarding affiliated with their school thatd be cool too

i know FAU has a wakeobarding club, theres Valencia, in Orlando, or some community colleges in FL all around, go on google and just search for them

usf has a wakeboard team, thats just a pretty easy school, i think university of tampa has a wakeboard team 2, but thats a good school, those are both in tampa. UCF has one also, and thats another easy school

Theres always scc its cheap, theyve got good campuses and programs. It's also right by everything.

Eckerd college is in St. Petersburg. My lil bro, Supraboarder, goes there. He can definately give you more info on it than i can though.

lol. but i think that FIT is the best place for me. my aunt just bought a condo down in melbourne beach with is part of melbourne, and they rent out the condo for a couple weeks every month, but they dont have people always living there. so im beginning to think that could be a week-end party place if i could just get the exact schedule from my aunt... haha

There's a lot of variations between percentages and I'll give ya the list of what really matters to Eckerd. They're lookin for a well-rounded kid, not exactly a straight A student, but then again not a dumby wumby. I had an 83 average, but they factored in that I went to probably one of the top high schools in GA with a great reputation for education. An 83 was a pretty good comin out of there, but they also look for extracurricular activities and leadership. I had a plethora of activities so if you've got that and decent grades, you're in. Party scene is weird. If you're into huge parties, there's none on campus, but USF is like 20min away and they're good there. HOWEVER, security on campus is very lax. In order to keep kids on campus and save them from drinking and driving, security doesn't really care if you're drinking as long as you don't have glass and as long as you're not doing anything wrong. I wander around campus with beer in plain sight and haven't been written up. Like I said, I wasn't being rowdy or anything. There's also a lot of bars around the area and you can't beat having the gulf literally on campus.

The best place if you got bad grades is florida southern college. Its in lakeland 30 minutes from orlando and 30 minutes from tampa. Our wakeboard team just won a free supra for one year. The lake we ride on is butter 80% of the time and its a pretty fun school. Wakeboarding is also offered as a class.

If you surf or want to surf, then Flagler College in St. Augustine is a good choice. Relatively easy admissions standards, great waves and the most beautiful campus in FL! They have smaller classes and the quality of education is excellent. Spent most of my class time in a pair of wet boardshorts and flip-flops! Very Happy

I go to FSU. We have a pretty decent setup for riding. There is a wakeboarding club and we are able to ride all afternoon Tues. through Fri.

I am going to have an amazing setup for riding next year. I am moving into a house on the lake with two of my friends.

You can get into UCF pretty easy, and the classes there aren't even hard. I got C's and B's in highschool and after leaving UCF had a 3.76 gpa even after surfing almost every morning when there was surf and wakeboarding in the afternoons. I failed one class, computer science cause I never went and it was at 8pm on a thursday night. I left after a year though and just finished up at UT in Austin.

you can also check out Rollins in winterpark, FL. it is located directly on lake virginia which is really nice. the campus is really nice, and it is pretty easy to get into. there is also university of miami and nova southeastern which is in ft lauderdale 10 minutes away from the cable park. there is also university of north florida in jacksonville and jacksonville university.
