Proposed Speed limit on lake - please sign our petition

I know this is not the ideal place and i apologise to anyone not bothered by this, if thats you please don't flame... just move on. Those that have 20 seconds to spare and a passion for preserving world-wide wakeboarding.. please read on.

I have just read and signed the petition: "SAY NO TO AN UNNECCESSARY LAW ON LOCH LOMOND"

We are trying to reach 5000 signatures, and we need
YOUR HELP!

Please help by signing this petition which aims to protect the future of
recreation on Loch Lomond and prevent yet another piece of unneccessary
legislation calling for a speed limit which will wipe out boarding/skiing/fast boating on the lake!

Taken straight from a webpage:
approximately 37 kilometres long, and up to 8 kilometres wide, with an average depth of about 37 metres

Its basically one huge lake with several smallish islands in it.

They want to put a speed ban on a big lump of it. I feel strongly that all people should be able to enjoy whatever leisure activity thet want... but this is literally THE LAST public access lake not restricted on the UK mainland. all of the others have total 10MPH speed bans on them to enable quieter, more chilled out activities to take place there.

Theres hundreds of lochs and lakes in the UK, the point of the petition is to try and beg the old question - can't we share? can't we have just one lake for our sport.

Funny that our country produced the likes of Andy Mapple... since then things seem to have just gone downhill.... our government just doesn't seem to see waterskiing and wakeboarding as real sports. it would rather spend billions on limited events such as the olympics.
