Okay, as of right now, gas in southern indiana is about 3.39 a gallon. I would just think that the sport of wakeboarding is going to take a major hit if prices stay like this. Honestly, a full day of riding is going to be insanely expensive....

Define "rich."

Here's a novel idea:

Split the gas amongst a number of people who don't meet your definition of "rich."

Less boats = better water!

understand that wakeboarding is a rich sport. not too many low budget guys out there riding. if you have the luxury of being from a rich family, or have landed a high paying job, then wakeboarding probably isnt the sport for you. between buying, and maintaning a boat, plus gas, plus gas for the tow rig, plus gear, equipment, etc.. it ISNT cheap. same goes for snowboarding.

Still riding just not as much and will be filling the sacs less.

Rish is relative and subjective. At the end of the day it has always taken a lot of money to wakeboard....now it is just costing more.

I hope more people start thinking like you, it should make the lakes less crowded for me. Wakeboarding might be expensive but its far from rich sport unless you make it one. I know guys with crap I/O's and home made towers that can throw down better than A LOT of riders with $50k wakeboats. They are not from a rich family and don't have high paying jobs, but they have a love for the sport and thats enough for them.
Its just going to cost a little more, as others said split the gas, use less ballast, etc.

I plan to board all weekend long, starting tonight beacuse I am rich.

J/K, But I am boarding all weekend long Very Happy

OK, it's costs some more, but it's still worth it!!
I don't ride less...

We go once to twice a week after work and Sunday.
