i havent tried one yet but ive done all the reading b/c im gona start trying them a lot when i get my 360's dialed.
anyways my understanding is that the key to a tantrum is cutting hard and tripping the wake. to trip the wake for a tantrum you cut in hard towards the wake but as you get into the trough region you want to open up your stance by facing more away from the wake than you usually would. to do this you stop edging so hard and let go of that back hand to let you 'square up to the wake'. apparently when you hit the wake this way you will feel like your heels have just hit a curb behind them which will give your body the tendency to do a tantrum. You can see how to trip the wake in just about any video of someone doing a tantrum. also read the info about tantrums in the trick tips section of the website if you havent already. _________________ signatures are lame |

| you dont have to cut HARD at the wake, just a nice progressive cut will work just fine. the harder you cut, the FARTHER you will go, but it's not necessary to get hieght. |

| You can tantrum with a relatively mellow edge so stay in a comfortable cut into the wake, you only need to go w2w. As far as the trip goes just a couple feet before the wake stop edging and let go with your back hand, this will square you up. When you hit the wake just wait for the upward lift and if you don't fight it you will begin the rotation. Kind of think of pushing your chest to the sky so you go up and not out. This trick you really have to wait for the pop, but if you do it is really easy to get around and spot the landing. |
