Uhh, no, grbs are kinda hard. You need air and stuff.

Hahhaha nah, I reckon if you've never boarded before, just get up! then things like carving etc.... move on to surface spins, and go from there! Sky's the limit!

Just work on getting up, then do butterslides. Just carve in and out of the wake and get the feel of the board.

And don't type in caps..

The easiest trick I know is down in a small Texas town close to the border.

I'm telling you, she could do things with her one good arm that would totally make you forget about that thing on her neck.

Surface FS 180, don't forget to press down on your heels before trying to turn the board on top of the water.

when u say trick do u mean like good trick or getting up, cuz getting up isnt really a trick, i'd have to say butter slide or maybe like a surface spin, if u can get air try a method or indy, do whichever one u feel more comfartable with ur hands.

Man, if u can get up, get your carves down and small jumps you will be doing great for a newbie. The easiest tricks that i learned first "in the air" would have to be an indy grab, and a FS 180. Good luck with it bro!

i need to know HOW to do a butterslide. I did one accidentally last year while trying to go out of the wake. For the life of me I HAVE NO CLUE how or what I did! This year I've been trying and can't figure it out. Yes, I'm a newbie but I've been boarding for 3 years- Just not too into trying to kill myself just yet. So, I need some simple tricks to work on this summer. Next summer I'll move onto the air stuff (maybe!) I ended up with a concussion last year when I tried a jump and didn't know how to land it. Don't wanna go there again! Razz

Anywhere nearby to take a lesson? I'd be hopeless without them. I assume I don't need to convince a teacher of the value of good instruction. You can also do your homework researching the tips on this site.

I think the recognized trick with the lowest point value is "Wave to the boat".
