If they feel right once they are on I would think they are just right. My LF Alpha are as tight as where the HL States I demo’ed last week. They are too tight if you lose blood circulation and/or your toes extended over the foot bed.

Well, I lube mine up every time, and they are somewhat tight getting them off.
I have Hyperlite Split bindings, size XXL, size 14 shoe.

With my Ultras i have to lube to get on and spend a while yanking my feet out, but when they are on they feel pretty good. So basically, your bindings are good, you don't want your feet coming out.. see the attemting tricks that injured you thread Confused

Not sure if you meant when you fall or what, but one of my main concerns is buying a binding that will come off on hard falls when it needs to. I demo'd the hyperlite Era's a couple weeks ago and they were a little too tight on me. When I took some hard falls, my feet didn't come out, and my back arched so much my head about touched the board. The result were extremely soar ankles and back. In my other bindings i've never had this problem. You don't want them so loose you have heel lift but you don't want them so tight that they break your ankles/back on a hard fall.

I don't want my feet comming out, but I ride a semi-loose board (Omega). The board will slip out if I get out of shape. I would assume most finless riders feel the same way.

If your feet go numb after 5 minutes or so then they are too tight. Having to lube them is not uncommon, especially for new riders. Once you put them one enough times you will figure out how to get them on without lube. It just takes practice and feel. I never use lube anymore mainly because I know the proper way to put on a binding rather than just trying to stuff my foot in there.
