|
|
I have attached a video of me riding this past Saturday in which I am doing a heelside 180. For some reason all of my toeside tricks like 180s, 360s and backrolls are a lot easier than my heelside tricks. This is unusual because usually it is the other way around. Tell me what I am doing wrong on my toeside approach that I am not getting that much air, and give me your opinions as to what kind of inverts you think you can do on this wake. We had 2 adults on board and 3 small children. No fat sacks.

Board2die, no...ts w2w are harder to learn...but once you have them all the ts tricks are normally easier. thats why people land ts 7's first normally...ts 9's...stuff like that...As far as why your not getting as good of pop. The clip doesnt show the whole edge...but when i look at the back ground and see where you edge started it looks like your just not getting enough speed from where you start. you have two options. really dig in when you get on edge. to edge the same, but start farther out...good luck _________________ www.Shadrack.com

thats your heelside edge, not toeside. Your not edging enough, your just standing up straight waiting for the wake. Lean back bend your knees, and get a better edge. See progressive edge in the tips and tricks section, or instructionals.

on TS w2w i usually catch some of the wake on landing but when i do w2w ts fs 180's i go into the flats and i find them way easier to do than hs fs 180's. whenever i see people try to go w2w on their toeside they always look like they chicken out and let go of the handle on landing. first time i tried toeside i just charged the wake and refused to let go of the rope.... it turned out to be pretty easy. _________________ signatures are lame |

| My husband finds toeside much easier than heelside. He's goofy (giggle) and rarely goes to the left of the boat. I'm better heelside so I think it's strange. I think you should always try to do more of what you suck at, to get better. |

From what any of you have seen of this video what kind of inverts do you think you can do with this wake? Do you consider this to be small or medium? _________________ Board2die!

Wake looked find. I'd say medium. You could do all sorts of inverts and spins on it, I would guess.
As for your cut, there's no video of your toeside to compare to; however, I'd say that you need to (1) cut in a little harder so that you have more line tension and speed at the wake; and (2) extend your legs at the wake. If you freeze the video right when you come off the wake, your legs are sucked up to your knees. Right there, your legs should be fully extended. That is how you get pop. Once you are well off the wake, then you suck up your knees for the grab. If you suck up your knees off the wake, you lose pop. |

Also, the weighting from side-to-side looks off. The wake is curling over where you hit it. Possibly bad driving or speed control. Sometimes you have to bump up your speed if an inexperienced driver is at the helm. A good driver is constantly playing with the throttle to keep the boat barely on plane. Perfect pass has all but eliminated the need for that skill!
Also, I love how your stoked and no one on the boat seems to care ("turn on the radio!"). Reminds me of when I used to ride with my family or people who aren't into wakeboaring. You look good, though. Keep it up! |
