I can retrieve messages no problem w/Outlook and Gmail but I can't send messages via Outlook. I get this error message..

Any Ideas? Maybe I have the POP stuff set up wrong?
Also my Gmail notifier w/Firfox doesn't work anymore for some reason. It logs in and always says 0 messages even when I get new messages.
Anybody else's Gmail slow as balls today either? |

Check your smtp (outgoing) mail server settings. You need to know if your ISP allows you to send via a 3rd party e-mail program, and also if they require authentication... Who is your ISP? I might be able to help more if I know....

Oh, sorry - that setup is for outlook 2000, but the SMTP server settings should work the same in outlook express - they just might be located in a slightly different place...
