why are most wakeboard graphics so ugly?

i know its just personal opinion but why are the graphics on most wakeboards so ugly? especially the higher end ones?i know i know its all about the ride but if im gonna give 400 (or higher)bucks for a board i want it to look good too. is that too much to ask? for instants i would love to have a lf subjekt but that thing is hideous to look at. same with the obrien demented. cwb seems to have pretty good graphics. any suggestions?

Yeah I know what you mean. Its not about looks, but still, you don't want a board with some ugly graphics. I have the '04 Hyperlite Parks 138 dna and I really like the graphics on it.

...i think the graphics are bada$$ because most of the time, its the riders input and it represents them or something that happened to them or what they are striving for... i think most boards look cool, Some are just sweet graphics a.k.a. new SUBSTANCE 138, i never get tired of lookin at that board Cool

i dont mind the subjects graphics, its all shane, just my opinion

Yeah man, Like you said its personall preferance...thats why the signature riders wich the "Highend boards" usually are, choose them and the artist you draws them.

You can get blanks for a helluva lot cheaper and never have to worry about graphics, nothing looks better then pure fiberglass!

kdawg, i know what you mean, in feburary i bought a subjekt, but i got an 04, mostly cause it was half the price of an 05 and the graphics arent as bad. i almost dread the day i might have to trade it in on warranty and get an uglier 05 model.

i love the graphics on the 2003 premier 135 dna. that was a great board both riding and looking at. i don't like the 05 premier though, so i am selling it and got a new parks that looks pretty sweet and rides better.

I like the graphics, but I also think it would be cool to have a blank board just because I've never seen one. Just to be a little different than everyone else.

Does anyone know who I could talk to, to get a blank 05 parks? Or is that even offered. I spoke with someone at CWB that said I could get my own personal graphics on a board when I was getting some information on opening a pro shop, which never materialized.

I dont know if you snowboarders have seen the sims fader boards but they feature graphics of porn stars such as Jenna Jameson, Kobe Tai, and some others. I wish a wakeboard company would come out with a lineup like that. Very Happy

Check out http://www.wileyski.com/ -- I've been trying to get a job at this place for the longest time, it would be funny if you guys all bought boards from them, and refered me... but I doubt they'd remember me.

Oh and alafiaboarder, I'm not sure how you could put graphics on, and have them stay on. Unless you somehow did it before they pressed the board in the factory.

Personnally I like the graphics on my 03 player. But any board looks good 10 ft in the air.

Personally I think the trend seems to be very 80's. I love the look of clean, subtle lines without a bunch of cartoon crap thrown on top of it.
