alright i made a little video of my friend. compressed it into the quicktime format and posted it in the media gallery. however wheni watch it the video is kinda slowed down and pretty much the middle of every trick is missing. what's the deal with this and how can i fix it?

Wow, that's a HUGE file. I'm still downloading it. A couple of hints for Quicktime:

set the video size to 320x240
set the audio to lower quality, such as 16kbps or even 8kbps
limit the data rate to 100

The quality won't be great but the file size will be small enough that people will be willing to download it.

This site has some good basic information for Quicktime settings:

things I missed the first time:

video compressor: Sorenson Video 3
audio compressor: QDesign Music 2
you can also change the video frame rate to 15, but that may not work well for high motion video like wakeboarding.

You can expect the file to be about 1.5 - 2MB per minute of video, maybe a little more.
