After five or so years at looking at new boats, my dad finally caved. He bought a new VLX last friday. I am so unbelievably stoked!!!!!!!!!! I just cant express it! It comes in on friday so I have no pictures yet but I will be sure to get them. It is pretty loaded. PP wakeboard pro, Illusion, 2 tower speakers, 6 speaker CD MP3, 2 amps, front ballast (total of 1,250) , 2 board racks, Monsoon engine, stainless tips, fiberglass platform, 2 pairs of pull up cleats, trailer, etc.

Only thing it doesnt have that we need is a sub woofer. Do you have any recommendations for a good one (doesnt need to be the loudest biggest ever, just good) for a reasonable price? Thanks

Congrats on the Malibu. I was pretty stoked myself to pull up to my dad's house and see that he bought a new Bu. Nothings better than going from a '97 to a '05 Razz Have some serious fun out there and watch out for the 'dead heads'

Thanks for the compliments. Entrust Clothing, can you give me a link to that sub? Does it come with a box or amp?

About the sub, can I use a car sub? They are hundreds cheaper then marine and If we mounted it under the passenger seat it wouldnt get wet.

you can use a car sub, marine stuff is a total scam, subs are made of metal and rubber, that can get wet without any problems, here is a link to the T75

Entrust Clothing, dang...275? The infinity above is under a hundred and can handle 1000+ watts. What else do you need for a sub? An enclosure and amp? What amp would be good?

I GOT THE PICS! It is an unreal boat! I love every bit except the wiring for the fading. the 4 front speakers and the towers are the front and the back 2 are the back so in order to hear the tower speakers while riding you have to deafen the driver but we are getting them re wired soon. The wake in monstrous. Even without full ballast. Im stoked.

DavidHoff, will do! Its so massive that I never use full balllast. Just makes it easier to hurt myself and wastes gas. I have had it full once with wedge and it was huge! Normally I do half ballast everywhere but the front. ( 3/4 ) and the wedge with 1-3 people. A few days ago I had 12 people and wedge and the tow ring in the front was under water! No ballast! That was plenty big!

Yea so I just saw this thread again and realized I forgot to address some of the responses.

Whoever asked, I love the wedge...its a must have for me. It shapes the wake so nicely.

And DavidHoff heres a pic of the wake taken out of a video. Stock ballast about half full plus wedge and 3 people. I had a pic of the wake with full ballast but I cant find it.
