The video didn't work very well on my computer. But, I think your doing a number of things wrong.
1. When you cutting into make sure your weight is even over both your feet. If you have too much weight on your back foot it will cause you to open up like that. this isn't really a problem by itself.
2. Your looking in to the flats where your going to land. You do not want to do this if you are having a lot of weight on your back foot. If you do a nice square raley its fine. Since your kind of opening up your body to the flats you want to look right at the boat or the tower.
3. When your bring the raley back in, you wanna push the rope down then bring your knees to the handle. Because if you just pull that handle toward you your going to have big problems.
4. Don't be a wuss. It takes some balls to square up a raley to the boat. Its a lot easyer to land on your back then to land on your face so sometimes people throw it like that so you have the option of landing on your back in stead of pulling it back in.
anyways i hope that helps you out. _________________ www.nationsfoundation.org

NorthwestRider tells the truth. One more thing I noticed is that your arms were not in the right place. They should be fully extended above your head. You kept yours down in front of your chest and kinda bent.
The whole idea of the raley is to make yourself become an extension of the rope, then your body has nowhere to go but back down. Done correctly, you won't even have to pull hard to get your board back under you. |

| Why are you using a double up for that, are you consistently landing raleys off a regular wake, and just trying to go bigger off the double up? If you dont have raley's as a consistent trick, then you should practice on just a regular wake. Also, you gotta keep your head facing the boat, just look at the tower and you will prolly be able to pull yourself back down. If you keep your body positioned correctly, you wont go out the side like that tho. Keep your weight evenly distributed. |

I think he is trying a 313, raley to 360. Thats the filename of the video anyway and it kinda looks like thats what he tries....
I've never even tried a raley, but IMHO you do not have enough height to be trying a 313. If you're just tryin a raley--my bad. _________________ Don't listen to advice from people who can't land that trick. My list:
HS+TS w2w jumps, HS+TS w2w 180, backroll
working on: I don't know, so happy I just landed backroll! |

ibusthard, Exactly, Why the D-up???? off the wake is more consistent and IMO easier....
I see that you are scrunched down in a squat, wrong! You want leverage so like toothpick said when you release you are an extension of the rope. the faster you go out the faster you can start to pull back in. Rock back and keep the hips/belly up, arms straight and strong legs, play tug-o-war with the boat..
You can not half ass this trick IMO.... Lay the boys on tha table and you will land the trick! (in other words go balls out) _________________ PEACE

yes, I agree, you can't try this trick half assed. You gotta hold on tight and go for the gold ponyboy.
BTW, dont even ask why I said ponyboy, I just think it's funny to call people that.
