Ive been up at my lake house riding once to twice a day for the last 11 days. It was great. I was really well and the last 6 days, I learned 5 new tricks.

Day 1: Switch HS wake jump

Day 2: Ollie 180s Embarassed

Id never tried them because I normally surface 180 but now that I ride from 22-24mph its kinda hard.

Day 3: HS FS 360! It was only one wake but it still felt awesome

Day 4: w2w Heelside 180

Day 5: Nothing

Day 6: Blind 180 going out of the wake

It was just a great feeling landing a new trick almost every day. There were a few drawbacks, I screwed my knee up again so I cant go huge and I am riding with a brace and after I landed that 360, I didnt land another one in another 15 or so tries. But the good overpowered the bad. Just sharing the stoke. Any of you guys had a breakthrough period? I think this is my year.

this is my season as well. i finally found some guys to come ride with me around my skill level. i've been attempting many new tricks, and almost landing them..this is definately my progression season.

That is sick!! Any new tricks in the book is sweet no matter how big or small!! Keep it up.

So you learned a 360 before a 180?

ridinaz, Im back home for a week so Ill ice it and rest it. It sucks though. I guess Ill just ride with a knee brace for a long time. Hopefully it will prevent the same injury happening again and it's not terribly uncomfortable.

chilly willy, yea, I just gotta learn how to get out of the blind position. Laughing

I get there and either slide out or try to surface 180 back out and catch my back edge. Here is a horrible quality sequence of it.

BelmontWake, I had a TS 180 before and a inside-out HS 180 but not a w2w HS 180.

LFADAM, congrats!! I think (hope) I am going to progress a lot this season too. I'm starting to compete so maybe that will push me to new levels.

nice work adam, i think i'm startin to progress this year too. I finally got my frontrolls down and stuck a scarecrow last weekend. Hoping to move on to 3s now.

wakeboardr2000, cool thanks. Cant wait till coble. You guys gotta teach me some inverts or 5s. (Hopefully my 3 will be solid by then)

BTW: Do you know what kind of boat they are running at coble this year? They have always ran X-9s. Is that true for this year also?

I'm pretty sure they're gonna be pulling with an x-9 again. They used to use an X-Star but it was eroding the shores away cause the wake was so big, so they have an inboards only policy now. that x-9 last year threw a pretty beefy wake though.

wakeboardr2000, yea. I think its a great wake. They had it with about 1500 lbs last year and 2-3 people. It was nice. Didnt know about the X-star but now they really couldnt because that shape hull probably couldnt turn around in that tight space at Lake 4. It would be sweet if they got an X-2 or X-10....
