I just got a 83 mastercraft and I'm really not pleased with the wake...Does anyone know the best weight solution for this boat? It has a really shallow haul and Im afraid to weight it too much...

Well an 83 mastercraft is going to be more designed for skiing, not for a big wake needed for wakeboarding. If its really shallow then i would say just go to walmart and get some tubs and either fill those up with water or u can get concrete to put in them. Once u got 2 of thoe then put them right at the back of the boat on each side. Good luck to ya!

Oh by the way where about do u ride, Im from OKC!

i had the sae problem with my boat. It can hold more weight than you think it can. i ran a 1200lb fat sofa in my 86 ski supreme plus about 300 in a fat sac up front. i now have an automatic ballast system that holds about 1500, plu we threw some sandbags in the bow. just weight it down and drive carefully. prob your rbest bet would be a fat sac on both sides of the motor. sorry for the sp. errors, i'm typing one-handed due to a broken finger.

I use 2 fat sacs on either side of the engine + some lead in the bow of my 82 mc. I tried using a fat sofa, but it weighed the back too much and I got water in the gastank vent so im going back to the 2 sacks.

the wake is not large, but it is well formed and gets the job done. I've seen backrolls and tantrums behind it.

i have an 82 mc, mine is alright with a 600 across the back in front of the rear bench seat, with like 4 or 5 people, but with less i add another 250 on the pass side of the engine cover... its alright... you can see a pic or two in my gallery.. its not like new san quality but its good to ride off of.
